Plays Of The Night 10-23-17 – A fairly quiet night on the NHL front with only a handful of games on tap. Maybe the most interesting story from last night was Jonathan Quick getting pulled from the game after getting hit in the head by his own teammate.
Quick stayed down for a couple seconds on his back, got back to a knee, then got on his feet. Then things got weird. Quick stayed in for three more shifts, even snagging a William Nylander shot out of midair. At 18:59 of the period, though, Quick was then pulled from his crease. It seemed like that was at the concussion spotters’ request, but there was no explanation for the delay in getting called to the bench. Quick then came back in for the final 35 seconds.
