Hunter Miska Earns Win Over Avs – Former Penticton Vee Hunter Miska answers questions after the Arizona Coyotes 4-3 overtime win over Colorado at the Prospect Showcase in San Jose.
The former BCHL netminder decided to forgo his final three seasons of NCAA eligibility to sign with the NHL’s Arizona Coyotes after backstopping the Bulldogs to the NCAA championship game in 2016-17.
The 21-year-old netminder posted a 27-5-5 record with a .920 save percentage (SV%) and a 2.20 goals against average (GAA) with five shutouts for University of Minnesota-Duluth (NCHC). He was also named as a finalist for the Mike Richter award, given annually to the goaltender voted to be the most outstanding in Division I NCAA hockey during the regular season.
