A roller Coaster of a game as the Merritt Centennials jumped out to a two goal lead in the first period. Then it’s a back and forth battle as the Coquitlam Express would come back, then Merritt would counter, eventually leading to a 4-4 tie after regulation.
Then comes the highlight of the game as Adam Rockwood is prevented from getting an opportunity on net in double OT. In the BCHL double OT is played 3 on 3, so penalties are automatically awarded a penalty shot. Rockwood moves in on net and channels Pavel Datsyuk, producing a fantastic goal and game winner!
