With owners ratifying the new collective bargaining agreement 30-0, the NHL went into full damage control mode. Commissioner Gary Bettman came out and apologized to the fans and business partners of the NHL for the lockout, and spoke about rebuilding trust and relationships.
Afterwards Bettman was questioned about his future, since it seems some owners were not happy with some clauses that were in the CBA. Bettman, though, was confident of the support of the owners, and it seems his place is secure.
