Around the Hockeytube.net office we have found several hockey cheerleader videos. Usually, whether from the NHL, AHL or even the World Junior Championship, the videos are of really poor quality, filmed on a cell phone with shaky hands. The only exception, until now, has been the Staples Center Dance Team doing “Call Me Maybe” by Carly Rae Jepsen and that one has a lot more humor to it then most.

This video, featuring cheerleaders from various teams in the  KHL, is different in that it has vastly better quality in its cinematogrophy and editing. Still it brought up a discussion that people have been talking since these Dance Teams started appearing at rinks: is this appropriate? is this necessary?

In short: Do Cheerleaders Belong at Hockey Games?
