It was a hard fought game between BCHL rivals West Kelowna and Penticton. The Vees got some revenge for a loss the previous night to the Warriors.
However, the game will probably be better remembered for a tumultuous ending starting with only 9 seconds remaining in the final period when there were a multitude of penalties. Including: slashing, 2 roughing after the whistle, 2 fights, and finally 8 (!) misconducts, 4 for each team. One West Kelowna fan also got involved after the game when, as the West Kelowna Warriors website put it: “Tensions even spilled into the crowd after the game when a Warriors fan had to be restrained by security when he went after Vees netminder Chad Katunar.”
