While a 2-0 score line in the Coquitlam vs Surrey game doesn’t sound too exciting, you have to see the highlights and realize the amount of chances and quality saves that had to be made to keep the score that low. The Surrey Eagles peppered Cole Huggins of the Express with 62 shots, and Eagles goalie Michael Santaguida was no slouch stopping 32 shots for the shutout.
Craig Wyszomirski and Mason Blacklock tallied Surrey’s two goals that allowed the Eagle’s to close the gap at the top of the Mainland Division to only 1 point behind the Chiefs.
