The Okanagan Rockets completed one of their most intense and competitive evaluation camps on August 12th. The feeling coming out of camp is one of tremendous optimism. “The players made life very difficult on us and that is exactly what we asked of them” said Rocket general manager David Michaud.
Head Coach James Eccles echoed that sentiment. “The players really left it all out on the ice. We didn’t get a whole bunch of sleep this weekend. There were so many quality players here that it has made this such a challenge. It’s exciting to see so many players want to be a part of our hockey club.”
The Rockets trimmed the well over 100 hopefuls down to a more manageable number of 40 or so players.
