Our first nominee is IFHT’s parody of Somebody That I Used To Know. Around the office terms were tossed around like ‘brilliant, well produced and they must have some time on their hands’. In the end what you have is one of the best hockey parody songs of the year. Fantastic song choice and a bit daring since the real song had already gone viral in a couple of different videos. Production value awesome and the singing not bad at all.
Everything from the Canadian Tire sponsored towel, to the stop frame animation, this video is entertaining from start to finish and even non Canuck fans can appreciate it.
IFHT have been making videos for about two years and lampooned everything from dating to hockey. While this video garnered over half a million videos, their number one video was one called ‘If Diablo 3 Was A Girl’ which has now been viewed over 8 million times.
