English Superstar David Beckham was recently in Montreal with the L.A. Galaxy to play a soccer game. While at a press junket he was asked about playing in a hockey town. His reply was a classic and would put a smile on any L.A. Kings face.
He also suggested Montreal’s entry into the MLS this season was a sign of the league’s growth.
“We were excited when Montreal came into the league,” Beckham said. “It has some great owners, great guys, and now with Jesse Marsch being manager, it’s great to see a player who has had a great career coming into management and being given a chance.”
